This all depends on the kind of studies and specific interests of the researcher. For kinematic studies mostly interested in daily activity it is recommended to take off the leg sensor(s) during the night, depending on the study however there can also be decided to take off the complete VitaMove system. For sleep related studies it is advised to keep the full VitaMove system attached to the body, however it is possible to take off the leg sensor(s) to increase patient comfort during the nights as leg sensor(s) are positioned on the sides of the leg. Obviously leg movement are no longer measured, but posture and motion of the chest, ECG and breathing are still monitored.
